Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has created a list of typical key transportation projects and works to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30). /2025).

Phase 1 of this project has a total investment of more than 20,889 billion VND. The project is expected to submit a pre-feasibility study report to the Prime Minister for approval in the second quarter of 2023, start construction in 2025 and expected to be completed in 2027.

The goal of the project is to relieve traffic pressure from Binh Thanh district, Thu Duc city through districts 7, 8, Binh Chanh and Nha Be districts. The Department of Transport is proposing content to submit to the City People's Council to approve the investment policy for this project.
