Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has created a list of typical key transportation projects and works to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30). /2025).

This Ho Chi Minh Moc Bai Expressway project aims to improve the ability to connect and transport goods between Ho Chi Minh City and the Western regions, while creating favorable conditions for economic and tourism development in the region. .
Phase 1 of this project has a total investment of more than 20,889 billion VND. The project is expected to submit a pre-feasibility study report to the Prime Minister for approval in the second quarter of 2023, start construction in 2025 and expected to be completed in 2027.
This project plays an important role in connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Can Gio district. Can Gio Bridge will help reduce traffic time and pressure, while creating favorable conditions for economic and tourism development in this area.
The Can Gio Bridge project has a total investment of about 10,000 billion VND and will replace the Binh Khanh ferry, connecting the South of Ho Chi Minh City with Can Gio district. The goal of the project is to meet traffic needs in the area, replace the Binh Khanh ferry system and create conditions for the development of the sea reclamation project and Can Gio coastal tourism urban area.
Thu Thiem 4 bridge project will play an important role in connecting District 7 and Thu Thiem new urban area. It will help shorten travel time, reduce traffic congestion and create favorable conditions for economic and urban development in the region.
This project has reduced the total investment to 5,300 billion VND (a decrease of more than 300 billion VND). The goal of the project is to relieve traffic pressure from Binh Thanh district, Thu Duc city through districts 7, 8, Binh Chanh and Nha Be districts. The Department of Transport is proposing content to submit to the City People's Council to approve the investment policy for this project.
